Our award-winning project was Highly Commended at the 2024 Museums and Heritage Awards and prize-winning at the STEM for Britain Awards 2025 which were held at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster.
The team is currently testing books in collections across the Central Belt of Scotland. We have inspected more than 10,000 books and identified more than 100 containing Emerald Green pigment.
The team also hosted an exhibition at the Wardlaw Museum of the University of St Andrews called Poisonous Books: Dangers from the Past. You can read more about the exhibition on our Collections Blog. Poisonous Books is set to be back on display in June and July 2025.
